We are delighted to welcome Nicola Webber to the Sense Risk team as a Commercial Insurance Advisor. Nicola brings a wealth of experience with her as she has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years in a variety of roles within Broking, Underwriting and Premium Finance.
We caught up with Nicola to ask how she was settling in and find out about bit more about her interests.
So Nicola, What inspired you to join Sense Risk?
Sense Risk really care about their clients and take the time to ensure that the correct coverage is in place and explain this to the Client in an easy-to-understand format. This really aligned with how I have worked with my own Clients in the past. As an Employer, Sense Risk are flexible and caring, this was also another thing that inspired me to become part of the team.
What aspect of your role excites you the most?
I love working with SME customers and solving problems alongside them. I like to be able to offer wider cover, whilst sometimes also being able to reduce the Insurance spend, at the same time.
What’s a memorable career achievement or challenge you’ve overcome?
Emily was keen for me to study for the Certificate of Insurance, I had reservations about going back to studying, however, I have really enjoyed it. I have achieved the Certificate already and I am now working on the CII Diploma in Insurance and currently working on M05 Insurance Law.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy playing tennis and watching my children play tennis. I am a licenced referee and I run some competitions at weekends.
What’s a skill or hobby you’ve always wanted to learn?
I would like to learn to play squash and that is on my to-do list for this year.
